Scholarships & Grants
The French Broad River Garden Club Foundation strives to promote conservation in Western North Carolina by awarding educational scholarships to deserving students studying horticulture and conservation.
The French Broad River Garden Club Foundation is proud to support regional academic institutions, student scholars, and community organizations. Grants and scholarships are funded through proceeds from our annual Winter Greens Market and Spring Plant Sale. Applications are due by May 1st each year and are available below on our website. Awards are based on applications that demonstrate a strong commitment to environmental and horticultural education, with a focus on conservation and the responsible use of North Carolina’s natural resources. Awards typical range from $500 to $5000. Recipients are asked to speak to our members to present their progress with their program or research results.
